Abstract

Dynamic capabilities and circular economy in organizations: a bibliometric analysis

This study aims to identify and characterize academic and scientific production related to dynamic capabilities (DC) and circular economy (CE) in organizations oriented towards sustainability. The methodology used is bibliometric analysis using tools such as biblioshiny and VOSviewer. In the study, 128 articles were selected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2015 to 2022 and analyzed. It is estimated that 85% of these articles were developed in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The remaining 15% were developed in Latin America and Africa. On the basis of the two axes of analysis (DC and CE), six theoretical-analytical groups are identified about the dynamic capacities and its relation to circular economy in organizations: a) DC and resilience in corporate sustainability, b) CE and industry 4.0, c) sustainable business models, d) environmental management and competitive advantages, e) environmental management systems, and f) innovation.
