Analysis of the literature on climate risk coverage: a systematic review in international repositories
The paper examines the academic literature on climate risk coverage through a systematic review in international databases (Web of Science and Scopus). The retrieved documents undergo two types of analysis: bibliometric and content analysis. The results indicate current and increasing interest in the topic, with little collaboration among authors but greater collaboration among countries. Ten thematic clusters are recognized, and it is identified that the topic can be approached from an individual, organizational, or governmental perspective, focusing on different objects of study. Recommendations for public policies emerge, such as the importance of disseminating and sharing information on transboundary climate risks, and for researchers, encouraging studies that analyze agents' propensity to take coverage. Although the findings come solely from international databases, significant practical applications are recognized. The originality lies in mapping literature on a priority topic on the international agenda, identifying knowledge gaps. The article contributes by compiling and synthesizing studies on climate risk coverage, integrating findings and perspectives that provide a conceptual basis for advancing future research.
